Job Title: Software QA Engineer( Penetration Testing)

Location: Dover, NH

Duration: 6 Months +

 

Job Summary:

This person will be focused on testing the Penetration Testing findings as well as the implementation of the resolution for these findings. The Software Quality Assurance Engineer II (SQA) is responsible for the design, implementation and execution of both automated and manual tests for the client's software and ensures projects and products are delivered conforming to SQA standards, procedures and project specifications. The Software Quality Assurance Engineer II identifies software defects, analysis and documentation of defects, and verifies findings for assigned projects.

 

Principal Activities:

 

  • Design and implement QA test automation using Eclipse, Web Driver, and Java.
  • Assist in the execution of automation scripts and track results.
  • Identify, write and execute manual test cases associated with the client's application software and systems.
  • Lead the test effort for a project of small to medium complexity.
  • May require delegation of tasks to a team of QA engineers.
  • Collect and create testing data necessary to run test scenarios.
  • Identify, analyze, and document defects, questionable functions, errors, and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with requirements and design specifications.
  • Verify fixed defects and perform regression testing.
  • Contribute to the engineering design process to ensure technical requirements are met while adhering to quality standards.
  • Contribute to the establishment of standards and procedures for program design, testing and documentation
  • Conduct compatibility tests against multiple OS - Browser combinations, varying hardware and network environments.
  • Install, maintain, and use the client's software applications and third party tools.
  • Use existing applications to test, track, and verify defects.
  • Set up and organize lab configurations for functional and system testing.
  • Prepare written reports on test progress and/or results as required.
  • Make formal or informal presentations inside or outside of the organization as required.
  • Work closely with project stakeholders and developers on projects.

 

Qualifications (Education/Skills) Needed: Education and/or Experience:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of four (4) years software quality assurance experience, or Associate's Degree and six (6) years quality assurance experience, or education and experience equal to eight (8) years.
  • Experience must include software automation experience, which includes designing software application test suites for Windows/Macintosh/Linux environments in a web-based multi-tier environment
  • Prior experience working within web-based.NET, MS SQL development environment.
