Description:

 

Suggested that the worker be local – The project is a cross business unit (3 business units), relatively short time frame and will be conducted using Agile methodology. Getting heavy inputs for co-location of resources.

Develops and implements software systems or applications through the use of software best practices such as Specification, Design, Coding, Testing, Documentation, and Maintenance. Knowledge of Development Environments, Configuration Management Tools, and Operating systems is expected. Bachelor's degree in an appropriate engineering discipline required. Minimum of 0-2 years of engineering experience. 

Essential Responsibilities: 
• Deliver architectural initiatives that contribute to Zebra's revenue programs 
• Participate with research and implementation for architectural changes, determine feasibility, and vet out total building and buying software solutions 
• Establishing code for proof-of-concept software implementations 
• Document current and future state architectures including high level diagrams, logical system views, and data interactions 
• Adhering to privacy and security compliance in accordance with standards, policies, and procedures (e.g., HIPAA, PHI, PII, PCI) 
• Developing and communicating new technology standards and best practices to multiple development teams 
• Architecting, designing, building, and managing software capabilities for our global high performance infrastructure 
• Developing and contributing as part of a team to talented engineers building the next generation of cloud-based and enterprise data solutions 

Server, DB/Web – Expertise focused in Database with strong Web Design/Query rules 

Database skills for this position 
• Well versed in the following DB's; MySQL, NoSQL, Oracle, Mongo, PostgreSQL 
• Knowledge in optimizing and tuning of DB's 
• Knowledge in maintain, building, supporting, and monitoring DB's 
• Good understanding of the MySQL's underlying storage engines 
• Knowledge of database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, data replication. 
• Knowledge of limitations in MySQL and their workarounds in contrast to other popular relational databases 
• Knowledge of AWS and MySQL Cloud installations 
• Knowledge of Clustering 
WEB Skills for this position 
• MEAN stack developer 
• LAMP stack developer 
• Expertise in JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS,Node,js, AngularJS, Express.js, ReactJS, npm, jQuery 
• Experience with building Single Page Apps 
• Client side frameworks: AngularJS, React, Backbone, Ember , Meteor 
• Experience in Ruby, PHP, Python, Asp.Net, MVC, and Java,
