Job Title: Big Data Developer
Location: Cupertino, CA
Duration: 6+ Months
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for Data Application Engineers who can write Spark programs for data extraction, transformation, and aggregation. Ideal engineers for this role must have experience with SQL, ETL, and scripting. They will work with analysts, developers, and architects to understand requirements and assist in building applications for a Hadoop, BigData environment. They must be able to work as a independent contributor and be flexible in working on all development life cycle tasks.
Key qualifications:
10 years of development experience in Big Data related projects
Experience with Spark programming
Practical knowledge of Big Data frameworks
Experience with Hadoop ecosystem tools (HDFS, Map Reduce. Spark, Yarn)
Must be solid in SQL
Is self-motivated to take initiatives and thrive in an ambiguous work environment
Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks under pressure with a high degree of flexibility
Should be able to understand data models and business logic in a short span of time.
