Location: NYC

Duration: 6+ Months

Description:

 

 

·         3-5 years PYTHON

·         1-2 years CUDA for GPU

·         Utility Industry background ideal

·         Data Science, data analytics solutions experience

·         R, Spark, Hadoop/Map Reduce, Machine Learning

·         JavaScript knowledge

·         SqlServer2012,.Net Framework 3.5 and higher

·         Long Term contract role!!

 

 

 

Responsibilities:
Candidate will help work with an IT team member to build advanced analytics solutions for Gas Operations. This may include building web applications utilizing data analytics solutions. The candidate will also work on enhancements to the GIS system.

Required Skills:

• Candidate should be an experienced Data Scientist with expert knowledge in applying data mining techniques, performing data and statistical analysis, building high quality analytics and prediction platforms to support our business processes.
• The Data Scientist is responsible for applying innovative analytical and research approaches to help tackle complex and strategically important problems.
• Candidate must have a minimum five years of relevant work experience in applied quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Candidate must have a proven track record leading the development and delivery of creative, advanced, actionable analytic products and services.
• Must have experience managing vendor engagements to understand business problems/opportunities, translating needs into analytic projects and applying results.
• The applicant must have a command of analytic methods, tools and data wrangling techniques.
• The candidate must demonstrate the ability to quickly acquire in-depth knowledge of new IT technologies.
• Must have the ability to present technical topics to non-technical audience and have demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments and changing priorities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with CUDA, Python (5 years), R, Spark, Hadoop/MapReduce and machine learning frameworks preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft .NET programming, Microsoft SQL-Server programming, including some database design, and complex queries.
• DTS and SSIS, Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio (2008/2012), SQL Server 2008R2, SqlServer2012,.Net Framework 3.5 and higher, COM+ (4-6 years).
• Knowledge of JavaScript.
• Utility industry experience preferred.
